Muscle building training
Isokinetic training – targeted strengthening through controlled movement
Isokinetic training is a special training method for targeted muscle strengthening. The unique aspect of this method is that the movement speed is constantly set by the device, while the patient controls the resistance themselves.
This means that the training resistance adjusts to the individual effort required at all times. If pain occurs in certain parts of the movement, the load can be consciously reduced. In pain-free areas, however, full force can be applied without overloading the movement.
Isokinetic training thus enables highly precise, safe and individually dosable muscle training, even in the rehabilitation phase.
The training effect of isokinetic muscle-building training is significantly higher than with conventional weight machines. This is because with classic machines, the training load is always determined by the weakest point of the movement – which limits the potential for targeted muscle growth.
In contrast, isokinetic training allows the individual's available strength to be used in each phase of movement – without overloading. At the same time, the risk of injury or incorrect loading is low, as the system reacts optimally to the trainee's performance level.
