Orthogen One/ACS

Orthogen-ACS is a special serum derived from your own blood and containing your body's own proteins. A small amount of blood (15 ml) is drawn with a special syringe and then incubated. During the incubation phase, your body's own proteins and signaling molecules are released, which can influence tissue repair processes and pain perception. Subsequent centrifugation and filtration separate the signaling molecules from the blood cells, and the resulting cell-free serum is injected into the affected area. Depending on the individual case, it can be combined with a low-dose cortisone.

The aim of the treatment is to support the body's own biological processes involved in tissue regulation and pain perception.

Regenerative pain therapy

The orthogen-ACS is a broadly acting, highly upregulated secretome and addresses several central signaling pathways of inflammation resolution, regeneration and restoration of homeostasis.

Its unique strength lies in the mediator spectrum and the high enrichment.

For which body regions is this therapy recommended?

The Orthogen One is recommended for various applications, such as activated osteoarthritis, impingement, labrum/slap lesions, etc.

How is this treatment performed?

Orthogen-ACS is obtained by drawing venous blood using the Orthogen device. The drawn blood is then incubated in the device at 37 °C for 3 to 24 hours. After incubation, the Orthogen device is centrifuged, separating the signaling molecules from the blood cells. The resulting cell-free serum can then be injected directly into the affected area.

The entire treatment process takes about 30 minutes and is performed under local anesthesia of the injection site under MRI guidance to ensure precise placement of the active ingredient in the affected joint.

Can the treatment be repeated?

The treatment can be repeated at any time, depending on individual needs or therapeutic necessity.
