Minimally invasive refixation of a torn meniscus with fibrin glue

The torn meniscus is repaired with fibrin glue. This procedure is performed on an outpatient basis under local anesthesia (only the puncture site is numbed) and MRI guidance. A thin, specially designed, MRI-compatible introducer is inserted into the meniscus tear using an open MRI scanner. The position of the introducer can be checked with millimeter precision using the MRI.
