Biofeedback Training
Following diagnosis using EMG testing, biofeedback training can be used to treat deficits such as hypertension, atrophy, or functional limitations. Biofeedback training is an alternative, efficient, and side-effect-free therapy option whose effectiveness has been demonstrated in numerous scientific studies for a wide range of orthopedic conditions.

Indications for biofeedback training:
- Low Back Pain
- Upper Trapezius Hypertonicity
- Cervical dysfunction
- Epicondylitis
- Vastus medialis Atrophy
- General hypertension
Goals of biofeedback training:
- Detonization: Reduction of muscle tone in the affected hypertonic muscle region
- Tone control: voluntary control of muscle tone in the relevant muscle region
- Progressive muscle relaxation: This technique utilizes the physiological phenomenon of post-isometric relaxation. Following a strong isometric contraction, the tone of a muscle typically drops below its initial level.
- Right-left copy: This trains or re-develops the fine coordination of the relevant muscles and the ability to perform targeted, finely dosed tension.
